How Do I Get Involved with the Hunts?

So here’s the basics about our MBRB hunter program.

How do I become a hunter? All our hunters are applicants that pay an annual fee to participate in the drawings for our organized hunts. To signup for this drawing you visit this page and provide answers to the questionnaire. Then fill out the agreement and send your payment along with the signed agreement to the address provided.

MBRB Policies! It is mandatory that all hunters read and acknowledge these policies if they wish to participate in our hunts.

What training do I need? All hunters are required to have their  MN Bowhunter Education Certificate and a yearly passing score on the Bowhunters Proficiency test. The proficiency test requirements are explained here – Test requirements. Once you have your certificate you can either mail it to us or use the file upload in the “Contact Us” form to email it to MBRB or by attaching a pdf copy of your certificate into the email.

What areas are involved? Hunts occur in many parks and recreational areas around the 7 county Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. These areas will be listed here when they become available.

How successful are the hunts? Our Hunt statistics shows how many deer have been taken since 2009.
